SGN Training - Finances

How to make an expense claim

Membership Fees

  • Membership fees are there to help with the general running of your society.
  • The fee charge should reflect how much is needed to cover the costs for an individual taking part in your society, this cost will vary depending on the SGNs.
  • The minimum cost needs to be £5 for membership.
  • You are more than welcome to decrease the membership price to increase membership incentive in the second semester.

Grant Requests

A grant request is a fantastic opportunity to acquire funding for long term or costly ventures.

A grant is allocated considering several factors – whether this is a new or returning society, the previous year’s budget, training and development needs, the size of the society and evidence of events and planned objectives for the year, and any equipment costs.

In our response to any grant request, we’ll include the awarded amount and advice/support on how to financially grow as an SGN.
