We are RGUCWDS - cold water dunking society a new society for 2025. Dunks will take place on Saturday mornings at Fittie end of Aberdeen beach at 09:30.
After the dunk we will then we will all head to get coffee afterwards to warm up!
Benefits:
Cold water dunking has lots of benefits both physical and mental. It is seen to reduce stress along with releasing endorphins. Stress is something uni students can struggle with when balancing work loads and deadlines. We hope to help people de stress along with making friends and socialising!
Safety:
Dunks may be dependent on the weather, water temperature and tide but all information and updates will be announced in the WhatsApp group chat beforehand.
Committee members will make the decision on whether the dunks will go ahead each week.
We follow a RNLI safety information pack that each member of our society is required to read and sign to participate as part of RGU CWDS. This is to make sure everyone is always kept safe!
