As the current Student Union President, I’ve successfully led multiple initiatives that have directly improved student life. organized events that bring students together. My first term has given me firsthand experience in understanding the challenges students face and how to effectively address them. Over the past year, I’ve developed strong communication, problem-solving, negotiation and leadership skills. I’ve also gained organizational skills from managing events and campaigns..
Enhancing Student Participation & Engagement in Union Activities The aim is to increase student participation in Union activities to strengthen representation and ensure initiatives reflect student needs. The problem is low engagement, which causes a disconnect between students and their representatives, resulting in policies that don’t fully address student concerns. To solve this, I plan to improve communication through interactive social media and in-person forums.
Advocate For AI Integration In Education To Enhance Academic Development And Assessment. The current education system lacks widespread AI integration, limiting opportunities for personalized learning, efficient assessments, and academic support Collaborate with Union executives, especially the President for Education & Welfare, to push for AI adoption across all schools, ensuring students benefit from improved learning tools and assessment methods.
Supporting the Union’s Future Development & Expansion of Services The Union has proposed a rebranding and development plan aimed at improving its space and introducing new commercial services. The Union space needs modernization and better facilities to enhance student experiences .The current commercial services may not fully cater to students’ evolving needs, and new options could improve student life. i will Advocate for student needs by gathering feedback through surveys and consultation.
The biggest issue facing RGU students is the lack of clear guidelines on AI use in academic work, leading to uncertainty and penalties. To address this,I will work with the President for Education & Welfare, Union executives, and university staff to advocate for AI integration in academic development and assessment. This includes pushing for clearer policies that recognize AI as a learning tool while maintaining academic integrity, ensuring students receive proper guidance on its responsible use
