Vice President (Welfare)
Being a solution-driven leader, I strive to improve student experiences. As a rapporteur at UNGA'79, I honed my communication and problem-solving skills. Through the Academic and Social Society of the PG Law School and the Nigerian Student Society, I’ve connected with students beyond academics. As a Course Rep, I work closely with students & faculty to resolve issues. I have the right network and experience, I’m ready to push for better mental health support, financial aid and stronger community
I know how tough it can be to find jobs, housing, and support while juggling academics. Some may have passed this stage, while others are struggling. My priority is to set up a shared digital information desk with job listing, housing options, and key services. I'll create a clear guide so both local and international students have access to regular monthly update. To achieve this, I'll partner with existing networks to bring this to fruition, and ensuring a seamless transition for students.
The cost of living is hitting RGU students hard: rent, food, and finances are real struggles. I get it, and no one should have to face these alone. I’ll work with Student Presidents and VPs to expand financial aid, push for rent caps, and introduce emergency grants. I’ll also support affordable food options, including growing the Breakfast Club. By focusing on mental health, career programs, and real student needs, I’ll help make student life easier and more affordable.
