HAYFORD MENSAH
PRESIDENT, EDUCATION & WELFARE
My passion for service has helped me as Secretary of the P.G Law School to chalk significant strides. With dedication I coordinated a successful organization of the maiden Law and Legacy Dinner and Awards and various employability events. I am able to imbibe the values of the school whiles staying focused no my personal studies and welfare. My teamwork skills make me the ideal candidate for president, as I collaborate to lead, unite, and achieve set-goals. #JoinTheWAVE.
I will prioritize Employability. After school, whats next? Student's wellbeing and mental health are significantly affected if students are not able to secure a job post graduation. I will introduce Employability Conference and Industry Day. Industry and employment experts will be invited to help effectively coach students to be industry ready. I will lobby to expand placements opportunities to be available for all streams. This will also increase the rate of employment post graduation

I will make all initiatives and policies available and accessible to students. More than often, because students are not aware of initiatives and the enormous benefits they bring, they cannot access them. I will run campaigns to create awareness about already existing and new initiatives. I will foster a culture of awareness and inclusivity;I will ensure that no student misses out due to a lack of information. Thus,I will also lobby for a tile for the Union on the MyRGU app to achieve this.
Many RGU students struggle with employability due to limited placements and internship opportunities. I liaise with my fellow presidents to advocate for structured placements across all courses and lobby for the expansion of funded internships. We will enhance CV workshops, networking events, and employer engagement while pushing for better job access for international students. Working with leadership, we will ensure equal career opportunities for all. #JoinTheWAVE.
