I am committed to being a strong advocate for the livelihood of international students in Aberdeen. I will work unceasingly to ensure that students concerns are heard and addressed, creating a supportive environment that nurtures both academic and personal growth. I will strive to bridge the gap between different academic fields, fostering collaboration and unity among students of diverse backgrounds. This includes creating workshops, seminars, and networking events with employers to prepare students for success in their future careers.

Priority Aim 2

Communication is key, and I promise to maintain transparency in all matters related to international students. Regular updates from student union, student finance, open forums ,and accessible channels will be established to ensure students voices are heard and their concerns are addressed promptly.

Priority Aim 3

I recognize the unique challenges faced by international students ranging from job challenges,
accommodation challenges and academic obligations. I will work with the student union and student services to expand support resources tailored to their needs. I will work with the appropriate body to create more job opportunities and placement opportunities by hosting weekly career fair for both part time and full time job.

What is the biggest issue currently facing RGU students, and how will you work with the rest of the Student Presidents and Vice Presidents to tackle this?

From my survey, the current challenge RGU students are facing is the limited availability of part-time job opportunities that fit around their studies. I will work with the Student Presidents and Vice Presidents to collaborate with local businesses, create job fairs, and provide resources to help students find flexible work options. The mission is about supporting students in balancing their academic and financial responsibilities.
